From August 28 to 30, the Vietnamese sniper team competed in the second stage of “Pair Test.” During this stage, the Vietnamese snipers performed seven shooting exercises, including “Hunting”, “Catch up”, “Find yours”, “Take a decision”, “Shooting with a partner”, “Interaction”, and “Withdraw”.

With shooting conditions close to the combat reality, the exercises required snipers to have good coordination and interactions with one another to annihilate targets and gain the most points.

On the first day of the second stage of the “Sniper Frontier” event, the Vietnamese team still had little chance to enter Group A1 because they did not perform well three shooting exercises, namely “Find yours”, “Catch up” and “Shooting with a partner”.

However, on the second and third days of the competition, they excellently completed the exercises and ranked fourth among the seven participating teams. With this result, the Vietnamese sniper team has officially entered Group A1.

What is more, in the exercise “Take decision”, two sniper pairs Phan Chu Trinh – Nguyen DinhHoa and Vu Van Chien – Nguyen Ngoc Chien annihilated 12 out of 12 targets from distances of 300-600m and hit three bonus targets, gaining a total of 150 points. After this exercise, the Vietnamese team ranked third, after Belarus and Russia.

Meanwhile, in the exercise “Hunting”, the Vietnamese sniper pairs destroyed all four targets, scoring 40 points. Though the Belarusian team gained the same points as Vietnam and the Russian team got ten points less than Vietnam, both teams took the higher places as they completed the exercise in less time.

Based on the results of all 16 shooting exercises in the first and second stages of the competition, participating teams are divided into three groups to complete in the next round. Group A1 includes Belarus, Uzbekistan, Russia, and Vietnam while Group A2 consists of Armenia, Serbia, and Tajikistan. The Russian sniper team No 2, Belarusian sniper teams No 2 and No 3 belonging to Group B will compete in an exchange without point calculation.

On September 1, the Vietnamese sniper team will compete in the third stage of the event named “Sniper Relay.”
