General Ly Sovann, Hospital Preah Ket Mealea’s Director, highly valued the significance of the program, saying that thanks to the program and other cooperation programs with the Vietnamese side, professionalism of doctors and nurses at Preah Ket Mealea Hospital has been enhanced while needy Cambodian people have been given free but high-quality health check-ups. These activities have contributed to consolidating the special friendship and solidarity between Cambodia and Vietnam.

Launched in 2005, the program has benefited thousands of Cambodian people and Vietnamese Cambodian. The health check-up and treatment quality was highly appreciated by the Cambodian hospital’s staff and people.

Over the past years, apart from providing free health check-ups and treatment, Vietnamese military and civilian hospitals have provided equipment and organized training courses for Cambodian medical personnel to help Cambodia’s hospitals raise their healthcare quality.
