He said that it is necessary to enhance the effectiveness of dissemination and education about the significance, importance, history, and tradition of the special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two parties, states, peoples, and militaries.

As part of the program, the Vietnamese delegation visited an armored division, a key unit of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces, during which the Vietnamese young officers learned about the history of the division and its political-ideological work and visited the young officers’ club.

At the unit, the Vietnamese young officers joined various lively cultural and artistic exchanges with their Cuban peers. After that, they visited the José Martí Military Technical Institute, an institution named after the Cuban national hero and where President Fidel Castro once studied. This traditional institution has trained many talented cadets from Vietnam and serves as a testament to the special cooperative relationship between the two militaries. The delegation also laid flowers at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument in Havana and visited the Fidel Castro Center, which collects, preserves, and honors the legacy of Cuba’s Commander-in-Chief.
