Vietnamese and Cambodian young officers boost cooperation
PANO – A delegation of young officers of the Vietnam People’s Army, headed by Lieutenant Colonel Tran Viet Nang, Deputy Head of the Army Youth Board, held talks with a delegation of young officers of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, led by Colonel Thoy Vanhan, Commander of Brigade 70, on September 28 in Hanoi.
During the talks, the two head delegates informed each other of activities of young officers of the two militaries. They concurred that young officers are a major and direct force in performing tasks and a key team in promoting heroic traditions of each country’s military.

The two officers also agreed to enhance education and information dissemination for young officers about the importance of the traditional friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries and militaries in the current context.
They affirmed to enhance young officers’ exchanges, propose the two defense ministries’ leaders to foster cooperation in all fields, and accelerate joint collaboration in searching and repatriating sets of martyrs' remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts, who had sacrificed while serving international service in Cambodia.
