Vietnam, Thailand complete 43rd joint sea patrol
PANO – The Vietnam People’s Navy (VPN) and the Royal Thai Navy, from April 19 to 21, held the 43rd annual joint patrol in the shared waters of Vietnam and Thailand.
Ships 264 and 265 of Naval Region 5 of the VPN joined Thai Naval Fleets 523 and 522 to carry out the mission.
Under the framework of the joint patrol, the two sides closely worked with each other to conduct the agreed training programs, including exchanging information, preventing illegal fishing activities, and implementing search and rescue missions, among others.
Thanks to their close coordination, the joint patrol was a success.
This is an important mission of Vietnam’s Naval Region 5, contributing to the successful implementation of the Party’s and the State’s foreign and defense policies and promoting the solidarity between the two militaries and navies.
In the coming time, the two sides agreed to continue conducting joint patrols, so as to maintain peace, stability, security and order in the shared waters, and create favorable conditions for the two peoples to develop a marine-based economy.
