During the visit, Senior Colonel Nguyen Viet Hung, Leader of the Vietnamese forces participating in U.N. peacekeeping operations at UNISFA and Commanding Officer of Vietnam's Engineering Company Rotation 2, introduced the meaning of the Vietnamese Doctors' Day. He extended wishes for the continuous development of the medical sector in Abyei, contributing to meeting the healthcare needs of local people.

Presenting gifts to Abyei Hospital

Deng Arop De Mading, Minister of Health for Abyei region, expressed gratitude for the support of Vietnam's Engineering Company Rotation 2, including assistance in repairing the road to Abyei Hospital, organizing activities to giving free medical examination and medicines to local officials, teachers, and residents. He also hoped that Vietnam's Engineering Company Rotation 2 would continue its support for the local healthcare sector and people of Abyei.

Earlier, Vietnam's Engineering Company Rotation 2 also visited and presented gifts to the medical agencies of UNISFA, including Ghana's Level-two Field Hospital and UNISFA’s Level-one Field Hospital. They also held a meeting to congratulate the staff of the Level-one Field Hospital under Vietnam's Engineering Company Rotation 2 on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the Vietnamese Doctors' Day.
