Vietnam, Russia to continue boosting military technical cooperation
PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of National Defense, worked with Vladimir Drozzov, Deputy Director of the Federal Service for Military Technical Cooperation, on June 30, within the framework of Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang's official visit to Russia.

At the meeting, General Truong expressed his delight at revisiting the country and congratulated Mr. Drozzov for his appointment as Chairman of the Russian
Sub-committee and Chairman of the Russia-Vietnam Intergovernmental Committee for
Military Technical Cooperation. The two officials highly applauded increas
ed developments in the two countries’ traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership over the past time, including defense ties and military technical cooperation.
They stated that the developments of the bilateral defense ties and military technical cooperation were based on the equal and mutually beneficiary relationship, for the benefits of each country’s people and for peace and stability in the region and the world. Both sides also expressed their satisfaction with the outcomes of their military technical cooperation since the 18th meeting of the Russia-Vietnam Intergovernmental Committee for Military Technical Cooperation and then worked out measures for further cooperation as well as discussed issues of mutual concern.
