During talks with Russian judicial agencies and units, including the Chief Military Prosecutor’s Agency, the Police Directorate and the Legal Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, head of the Vietnamese mission emphasized that Vietnam and Russia’s time-honored friendship has laid a firm foundation for the two nations to reinforce their defense ties on the basis of mutual benefit for each country’s people and for peace, stability in the region and the world.

The head of the Vietnamese mission also confirmed that the Party, the State and the Army of Vietnam have always been grateful to the people of the Soviet Union (present Russian Federation) for their whole-hearted support during the resistance war for national salvation and in the national construction campaign.
The two sides also expressed their pleasure at the development of the Vietnam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership which was vividly demonstrated via scores of high-level visits of the two States and Governments’ leaders.
They recognized the strengthened bilateral defense ties in all aspects, especially in training Vietnamese military personnel at training establishments and centers under the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
In terms of judicial cooperation between the two armies, the two sides agreed to bolster experience-sharing between their agencies and units in the areas of military police and legal affairs, contributing to perfecting the legal system of each country’s army.
During the talks, the two sides straightforwardly discussed contents of mutual concerns related to building and reforming each country’s military judicial sector. They affirmed that military judicial sector plays an important role in legal protection in the army, making contributions to building each country’s regular, elite and overall modern armies.
Visiting the Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Vietnamese mission highly valued the teaching methodology of the university, especially in training future legal officers for the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The mission also expressed their interest in the training of Vietnamese cadets in law majors at the school and the Russian side agreed to consider the hosting of them, seeing them as a bridge to bolster the relationship between the two countries and armies in the future.
They also reached an agreement on promoting cooperation between military judicial agencies and units in the time to come, contributing to boosting the defense ties in general and the military judicial cooperation in particular.
During their stay in Russia, the Vietnamese mission laid a wreath at the Monument dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh in Moscow.
