Vietnam, Myanmar cement defense ties
PANO - A delegation of the Myanmar Armed Forces’ young officers, led by Colonel Tin Zaw Latt, visited the Military Technical Academy on September 19.
Addressing the meeting, Major General Pham Ngoc Thang, Vice Political Commissar of the Academy, stressed that the visit and exchange of the Myanmar delegation will contribute to promoting information dissemination and education and reconfirm the determination of both countries’ young military cadres and officers in maintaining and developing comprehensive partnership and cooperation between the two militaries.

During the exchange, Gen. Thang briefed the delegation on the history and development of the academy. Accordingly, the academy is tasked with training high-quality human resources for the military, transferring advanced technologies and promoting international cooperation, contributing to the country’s construction and defense cause and developing the military science and technology sector of Vietnam.
For his part, Colonel Tin Zaw Latt expressed his pleasure at visiting the academy and emphasized that military technology always plays an important role in the military development of each country. He also showed his admiration to the great progress of the Vietnam People's Army and hoped that the visit and exchange of the Myanmar delegation will further cement the friendship between the two militaries in the coming time.
During the exchange, the Myanmar young officers visited the academy’s hall of fame, played football and volleyball with cadres and young instructors of the academy.
