Vietnam, India to boost defense ties
PANO – On Oct. 23, Lieutenant General Pham Hong Huong, Deputy-Chief-of-the-General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army hosted a reception for a visiting delegation of the Indian College of Defense Management, led by Rear Admiral JS Rajpurohit, a senior lecturer of the school, at the defense ministry’s headquarters.

At the reception, the host stressed the significance of the Vietnam-India defense ties over the recent times, especially in education and training, contributing to strengthening the traditional friendship, mutual understanding and trust between the two peoples and armies. He hoped that the two armies would continue to accelerate cooperation in the fields of their strengths, contributing to further their defense ties in the future.
For his part, the guest expressed his thanks to leaders of the Vietnamese defense ministry for the warm welcome and sharing experience in troop management. He believed that through the visit, Indian officers would learn more about the Vietnamese country, people and army, contributing to bolstering the relationship between the two armies.
