Mr. Huxley thanked the host for the warm reception and informed him about the contents, the agenda and themes for discussion at Shangri-La Dialogue 2018. He also highly appreciated the role of Vietnam and its support for the dialogue that contributed to the success of the previous dialogues. The IISS Asia Executive Director hoped that Vietnam would continue sending its senior military delegation and contribute its important speeches to the Shangri-La Dialogue 2018.

For his part, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh confirmed that Vietnam always supports and will participate actively in Shangri-La Dialogue 2018. Vietnam highly values the role of the dialogue as well as the themes to be discussed at the upcoming Shangri-La 2018.
