Accordingly, the MoU will create a framework for the two sides to carry out cooperation on promoting information dissemination on the Joint Declaration between the two countries signed on December 21 in 2016 and the Protocol of Mutual Understanding between the two defense ministries signed on January 16 in 2018; strengthening cooperation on exchange information; continuing to promote coordination on the search and collection of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and specialists who sacrificed themselves in wartime in Cambodia; and so on.

In addition, the MoU will also assign specific missions to the Command of MR 9 and the Commands of the Royal Cambodian Army, Military Regions 3 and 5 as well as the Agency for Development under the Royal Cambodian Ministry of Defense to enhance and improve the efficiency of cooperation.
