At the meeting with Colonel PS Punia and Colonel Varandan Kumar, outgoing and incoming Indian defense attachés to Vietnam, respectively, General Vinh highly valued the bilateral defense ties between Vietnam and India over the past years, saying that it has been continuously expanding and developing in an intensive, practical and effective manner.

General Vinh acknowledged and spoke highly of Colonel PS Punia’s active contribution to the bilateral defense ties during his term and hoped that in his new post, he would continue exerting all-out efforts to further develop the relationship between the two countries and militaries.

Welcoming incoming defense attaché Colonel Varandan Kumar, General Vinh suggested the officer inherit and bring into full play his predecessor’s achievements as well as develop more initiatives to strengthen the bilateral defense ties in a more practical and effective manner. General Vinh confirmed that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense will create favorable conditions for him to fulfill his tasks.

The same day, while receiving outgoing and incoming Israeli defense attachés to Vietnam, Mr. Taibel Yaakov and Ms. Bloria Hamama, respectively, General Vinh held that though the bilateral defense ties between Vietnam and Israel has flourished, its potential has yet to be fully tapped. Therefore, General Vinh suggested the two sides should continue striving for a comprehensively developed bilateral defense ties.

The Vietnamese senior officer applauded Mr. Taibel Yaakov’s active contribution to the fruitful Israel-Vietnam defense cooperation and expected him to further his efforts to cement the friendship, cooperation, trust and mutual understanding between the two nations in general and the two militaries in particular.

General Vinh also emphasized that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense would create favorable conditions for Ms. Bloria Hamama to accomplish her mission during her term in Vietnam.

For his part, Mr. Taibel Yaakov said that there remains much room for the Israel-Vietnam defense cooperation and highly valued the cooperation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense during his term.

Meanwhile, Ms. Bloria Hamama hoped that the bilateral defense ties will further develop in the coming time.
