Vietnam, Belarus bolster military technical cooperation
PANO – Cooperation in military technique between Vietnam and Belarus has contributed to maintaining peace and stability in each country as well as ensuring a peaceful and happy life for their people.
This was stated on Oct. 18 by Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, Vietnamese Deputy-Minister of National Defense, at the 16th session of the Belarus-Vietnam Intergovernmental Committee for Military Technical Cooperation in Hanoi.
The event was joined by Mr. I.M.Demidenko, First Vice-President of the National Committee on Defense Industry of the Republic of Belarus and Chairman of the Belarusian Sub-committee under the Belarus-Vietnam Intergovernmental Committee for Military Technical Cooperation.
Welcoming the Belarusian guests to the meeting, General Truong reaffirmed that Vietnam has always laid much importance on reinforcing and developing the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries. He stressed that the official visit made by Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang to Belarus in June contributed to lifting the bilateral relations to a new high, particularly with the signing of an operation mechanism of the Belarus-Vietnam Intergovernmental Committee for Military Technical Cooperation.
At the meeting, the two senior officials highly appreciated the results of military technical cooperation reached by both sides since the 15th session of the Belarus-Vietnam Intergovernmental Committee for Military Technical Cooperation. Additionally, the two sides discussed measures to carry out cooperation programs this year and the 2016-2020 military technical cooperation plan and signed the meeting’s minutes.
