This year’s conference was regarded as a continuation of the success of AMICLC-1, which was initiated and hosted by Vietnam in 2024. It further reaffirmed the role of the ASEAN Military/Defense Intelligence Community Initiative in fostering information and experience sharing, as well as strengthening coordination among ASEAN member states in response to emerging security challenges.
Within the framework of the conference, participating delegations engaged in discussions on issues of common concern.
On the sidelines of the event, the head of the Vietnamese delegation held bilateral meetings with the heads of defense intelligence agencies from Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. These meetings aimed to promote cooperation, enhance mutual trust, and contribute to reinforcing solidarity and unity within ASEAN.
