PANO – A high-ranking military delegation of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by General Do Ba Ty, Chief of General Staff and Deputy Minister of National Defence has begun an official visit to Cuba from October 24th to November 2nd at the invitation of Senior Lieutenant General Alvaro Lopez Miera, Cuban Deputy Defence Minister and Chief of the General Staff of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces.
During the visit, the two sides will exchange the socio-economic development situation in each country and regional and international isues of mutual concern and share experiences of combat readiness training.
In addition, they will review the outcomes of Vietnam-Cuba defence ties over the past time and discuss measures to further develop the defence cooperation between the two countries, making contributions to consolidating and promoting the fine traditional friendship and mutual trust between the two countries, armies, and peoples.
