Logistics and technical cooperation between Vietnamese, Cambodian MNDs enhanced
PANO – Vice Chief of the General Department of Logistics and Technical Services (GDLT) Major General Dinh Cong Phuong held talks on October 7 in Ha Noi with General Khiev Saphat, Vice Secretary-General of the Cambodian Ministry of National Defense (MND) and Deputy Head of the Department of Personnel under the Cambodian MND.

At the talks, Maj. Gen. Dinh Cong Phuong gave General Khiev Saphat an overview of the GDLT, which comprises five logistics and three technical fields.
The two sides exchanged views on their cooperation in logistics, military medicine, and military technical affairs in recent years. They also shared experience in directing the production and business activities of enterprises, including experience in organizing production, arranging production lines, and addressing bottlenecks in the production process; improving productivity through resource optimization; and combining machinery and equipment upgrades with improvements in workers’ skills.
For his part, General Khiev Saphat highly appreciated the capabilities of enterprises under the GDLT and expressed his profound appreciation for the support provided by the Vietnamese MND, including the GDLT, to the Cambodian MND over the past time. He also expressed his pleasure at the results achieved in logistics and technical cooperation between the two sides.
On this occasion, the two sides also agreed on several directions for cooperation in the coming period. They expressed their belief that logistics and technical cooperation between the two MNDs will see new developments, contributing to consolidating and strengthening the close solidarity between Viet Nam and Cambodia.
