Training course for Lao officers opened
PANO - The Ministry of National Defense (MND) opened a training course focusing on the local military-defense tasks for officers of the Lao People’s Armed Forces on August 15 at the Military School of Military Region 3.

During the course, the Lao trainees will be provided with 19 special topics related to theories and practices on local military-defense tasks. In addition, they will tour several historical relic sites in Vietnam and study the combination of the socio-economic development and defense-security reinforcement in several localities and units.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Nguyen, Director of the Department of Civil Self-Defense and Militia Forces under the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, and Deputy Head of the MND’s Steering Board for Training, stressed the goals and significance of the course, asking the trainers, interpreters, and trainees to heighten their responsibilities, overcome hardship, and ensure good collaboration to fulfill the requirements of the training course with good results.
