Training course for Lao officers concludes
PANO - A training course on youth work for officers of the Laos People’s Army concluded on July 24 at Unit 871 under the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army.
During the course, 20 officers from 18 units and agencies of the Laos People’s Army were equipped with knowledge and methods to organize youth activities as well as shared their experiences in conducting the work with the Vietnamese counterparts.
The trainees also conducted a fact-finding trip at effective youth models in Military Regions 2 and 4, Army Corps 1, the Military-run Telecommunications Group (Viettel), the General Department of Defense Industry, and the Nghe An provincial Military Command, and visited some historical and cultural relics to learn more about Vietnam, its people, and army.
Kicked off on June 29, the training course was among practical activities to celebrate 40 years of the signing of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (July 18, 1977) and 55 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Laos (September 5, 1962).
