Tet greetings extended to Lao armed forces
PANO – On the occasion of the Lao traditional New Year festival Bunpimay, during the two days of April 8 and 9, the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command sent two delegations, led by its Commander Senior Colonel Trinh Thanh Binh and Deputy Commander Colonel Ho Thanh Son, respectively, to visit armed forces in Khammuane and Savannakhet provinces of Laos.
Commander of the Khammuane provincial Military Command Colonel Khampha Tangsanhut, Deputy Director of Khammuane provincial Public Security Colonel Khamsin Nonthasone, and Political Commissar of Savannakhet provincial Military Command Major General Sithavisay, received the Vietnamese military delegations.

During the meetings, the two sides agreed that over the past time, military units of both Laos and Vietnam have successfully maintained border management, controlled immigration and effectively fought crimes in border areas as well as prevented the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, contributing to ensuring political order and security in border areas.
On the occasion of the Lao traditional New Year festival Bunpimay, the Quang Binh provincial Border Guard Command sent greetings to the Lao armed forces and locals in the two provinces, hoping the partnership between the two militaries, authorities, and people would be further tightened, contributing to building Vietnam-Laos border of peace, friendship and cooperation for mutual development.

On this occasion, the Vietnamese military unit and Border Posts at International Border Gates also presented Tet gifts and handed over medical supplies to Lao soldiers.
