The event was held as part of the 4th Vietnam - Laos Young Border Guard Officer Exchange Program. Senior Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hai, Deputy Political Chief of the Vietnam Border Guard Command; Colonel Daokay Lertlyvan, Deputy Commissar and Political Chief of the Laos Border Guard Command; along with young border guard officers from two countries and Laos students at Quang Binh University attended the event and encouraged the participating teams

The exchange featured two sports: badminton (including men's singles and mixed doubles) and volleyball.

Before the competition, Sr. Col. Nguyen Thanh Hai and Col. Daokay Lertlyvan presented flowers and commemorative flags to the athletes.

In the spirit of exchange and solidarity, participating athletes contributed impressive performances at the event.

Through sports competitions, the event contributed to strengthening mutual understanding, special friendship, and solidarity between the two nations. It also demonstrated young officers’ determination to uphold the special friendship of Vietnam and Laos.
