PANO – The delegation of young Singaporean officers on August 16th joined exchange activities with troops of Division 5, Military Zone 7, and visited Cu Chi tunnels in Ho Chi Minh City.

At Division 5, Colonel Nguyen Van Thuan, Division CO, briefed the delegation on the formation and development of the unit in wartime and peacetime. After visiting the hall of fame, the Singaporean officers joined exchange activities with troops of the division.

Visiting Cu Chi tunnels, the delegation learnt more about the strong will and resistance tradition of the people and armed forces of the district during the Vietnam War.

Via the exchange program, the Singaporean officers have learnt more about the land and people of Vietnam, as well as the Vietnam People’s Army, especially in national construction and protection. The program has contributed to further strengthening the friendship and solidarity between young officers of the two countries.
