Refresher course on logistics work for Lao officers concludes
PANO – The General Department of Logistics held a ceremony on December 13 in Hanoi to wrap up a refresher course on logistics work for officers of the Lao People’s Army.
The closing ceremony was chaired by Major General Pham Manh Cuong, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Logistics and attended by Lao Defense Attaché to Vietnam, leaders of the General Department of Logistics, representatives from agencies and units under the general department and Academy of Logistics.

Reportedly, under the directive of the Minister of National Defense, functional agencies of the General Department of Logistics closely cooperated with the Academy of Logistics to make preparation for the course, including building training programs and contents, selecting instructors and documents, and contacting units that participating trainees would have field trips to during the course. Also, they thoroughly prepared accommodation for the Lao officers joining the course.
During the course, troops of the Lao People’s Army studied basic and practical information related to logistical sector.
Apart from class time, the Lao trainees had field trip to and learnt experience from units and agencies of the General Department of Logistics of the Vietnam People’s Army, including Depot 661, Brigade 649, Depot 205, and Logistics College No.1 and visited the Vietnam International Defense Expo 2022.

The organizing panel evaluated that during the course, the trainees promoted their pro-activeness in studying and exchanging to grasp theoretical and practical issues of logistics work of the Vietnam People’s Army. They strictly observed regulations and completed the training program and contents while ensuring absolute safety.
At the event, leaders of the General Department of Logistics and Academy of Logistics presented certificates of course completion to the Lao trainees.
