During the course, 20 Lao trainees will study eight topics on military female affairs and exchange experience on the work with Vietnamese instructors.
They will have fact-finding trips to several Vietnamese military units, including the General Department of Techniques, the Commando Corps, the Military Medical University and the Military Commercial Joint-Stock Bank to learn about the operation models of their Women’s Associations.
They will also visit revolutionary historical relic sites, cultural establishments and other landmarks in the capital city of Hanoi.
The course aims to improve professional competence of the Lao female officers and help them effectively carry out military female affairs and servicewomen’s movements, especially at grassroots level.
The course is expected to partly promote the effective cooperation between the two militaries’ servicewomen, raise female officers’ capabilities to meet the army-building tasks of each country in the current period and to contribute to boosting the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two Defense Ministries.
