Training course for Lao officers concludes
PANO - The Defense Strategy Institute of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense held a ceremony on July 15 in Hanoi to conclude a training course in military strategy studies for Lao officers.

During the one-month long course, Lao trainees were equipped with knowledge and methods of studying military strategies. They participated in field trips to units of Military Region 3, experienced some sightseeing tours and visited historical and cultural relics in Vietnam. Through the visits, Lao officers learnt more about Vietnam and its people, contributing to promoting solidarity between the two nations and militaries.
Addressing the concluding ceremony, Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Than, Deputy Director of the Defense Strategy Institute, said that thanks to the tireless efforts and responsibilities of relevant units and trainees, the training course was successfully completed as planned, meeting all set requirements. The Vietnamese officer hoped that the Lao peers will creatively apply acquired knowledge to fulfill assigned missions successfully.
On behalf of the Lao officers, Lieutenant Colonel Khamsinh Phanthavong thanked Vietnam’s Ministry of National Defense for favorable conditions and the assistance to help them to fulfill their missions. He affirmed that the Lao trainees will apply their knowledge and experiences obtained during the course to the Lao Defense Ministry’s military strategy studies in the coming time.
