On behalf of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense’s leadership, General Vinh welcomed representatives of the border guards of China, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and Myanmar.

He stressed that the event is a practical activity to tighten the solidarity as well as to build a joint borderline of peace, friendship and development among neighboring countries and the Mekong Sub-region’s nations.

For their part, the guests thanked the host for a warm welcome and expressed their delight at participating in the exchange program.

In recognition of the cooperative outcomes between the Vietnamese Border Guard Force and its five counterparts, General Vinh believed that the program will be successful. In addition, he suggested the participating border guard forces to continue expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation, contributing to developing socio-economy and maintaining security along the shared borders.
