Given Vietnam’s long coastline, the Vietnamese Defense Minister said the country considers enhancing maritime surveillance and sovereignty protection, combating maritime crime, and improving disaster response and search-and-rescue capabilities as major priorities. In this context, the application of autonomous and unmanned technologies could make important contributions to improving operational effectiveness. Vietnam, therefore, hopes defense technology companies, such as SAGAR will expand cooperation through appropriate forms and areas of collaboration.

For his part, Nikunj Parashar said SAGAR Defense Engineering, established in 2015, specializes in developing autonomous and unmanned systems for national security operations across maritime, aerial, underwater, and land domains. He expressed the company’s desire to cooperate with Vietnam’s Ministry of National Defense in exchanging experience and new defense technologies, adding that SAGAR would send a delegation to participate in the Vietnam Defense Expo 2026.
