An overview of the conference |
Commander Vu Trong Tan, Captain of Frigate 016-Quang Trung, led the delegation of the Vietnam People’s Navy (VPN) to attend the event.
The conference adopted the plan for field exercise at sea and popularized safety regulations.
Accordingly, the field exercise at sea will take place on November 21 and 22. It will include the following contents: Maneuvering in formation, anchorage guard, anti-piracy, and formation aerial photography. After the exercise at sea concludes, Frigate 016-Quang Trung will return to Zhanjiang Training Ground.
Frigate 016-Quang Trung arrived at Zhanjiang port on November 11. Up to now, the officers and sailors of Frigate-016 have participated in various activities, including ship control simulation training; protection of ship’s vitality; practice of giving first aid to wounded soldiers and operating helicopter deck equipment, anti-piracy; communication; cultural and sports exchanges.

Attentively, the Vietnamese officers and sailors have obtained positive results and received high appreciation of participating countries, contributing to showing Vietnamese troops’ ability to collaborate with other forces to deal with issues related to maritime security.
The visit of Frigate 016-Quang Trung and VPN’s delegation aims to realize the directions of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense leadership on international integration and defense diplomacy, contributing to promoting the friendship and fruitful cooperation between the military and navy of Vietnam and their counterparts from China in particular, and from countries participating in the exercise in general, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
