PAN’s delegation works with Political Directorate of Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces
PANO – On September 12 (local time), in Havana, the delegation of the People’s Army Newspaper (PAN), led by its Editor-in-Chief, Major General Doan Xuan Bo, had a working session with the Political Directorate of the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba as part of its working trip to the country.
Welcoming the delegation, Major General Marcelo Perez, Deputy Chief of the Political Directorate of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces, underlined that the loyal friendship and long-standing solidarity between Cuba and Vietnam, nurtured by the Parties, States, and peoples of the two countries, have been continuously consolidated and expanded across all fields, for the benefits of both peoples and for peace and progress worldwide. He highly valued the delegation’s upcoming programs during the trip and expressed his belief that it would be a good opportunity for the delegation to learn more about Cuba, its people, and its armed forces, as well as to study, exchange, and share experience in journalism. He wished the delegation fruitful outcomes and memorable experiences during their working visit.

Speaking at the meeting, Major General Doan Xuan Bo emphasized that upon their arrival in beautiful Cuba, the delegation had already felt the warm and sincere welcome extended by Cuban comrades. He affirmed that over the past 65 years, the special relationship between Vietnam and Cuba, founded by President Ho Chi Minh and President Fidel Castro, has been treasured, nurtured, and further developed by generations of leaders, peoples, and armed forces of both countries.

During the working session, the two sides exchanged information about the development of journalism in both countries and their militaries, and discussed missions, challenges, and measures for revolutionary press agencies in the new period.
