The Indian delegation is conducting fact-finding trips in Vietnam.
Receiving the Indian guests, Major General Vu Kim Ha, NDA Deputy Director, underlined fruitful development in the bilateral defense relations over the past time. He highlighted the visits of the two militaries’ senior leaders, the promotion of cooperation in training, defense industry, and U.N. peacekeeping, among others.

Gen. Ha gave a briefing on the NDA and its external military affairs. He said that in recent years, the academy has welcomed and had working sessions with hundreds of foreign defense official delegations and sent delegations of officers and trainees to research, exchange, give lectures and study in many countries in the world. So far, it has opened more than 80 courses for over 1,000 senior officers of foreign militaries.
According to Gen. Ha, the Indian military has sent three officers to participate in courses at the NDA of Vietnam. He confirmed that the Vietnamese academy is always ready to exchange, share experience, and expand its cooperation ties with NDA of foreign countries, including the NDA of India.

Expressing his delight at visiting and working at the NDA of Vietnam, Maj. Gen. Ajay Kumar Singh discussed measures to boost exchanges between the two academies’ instructors and trainees.
He confirmed that the Indian delegation’s visit to Vietnam this time aimed to learn experience, share viewpoints in order to enhance both sides’ understanding and trust, thus promoting long-term development cooperation.
Noting that the defense and security cooperation between Vietnam and India has reaped outstanding developments, he expressed his hope that the ties would further develop and more officers of the Vietnam People’s Army study in India and vice versa, more officers from the Indian Armed Forces study in Vietnam.

The same day, the delegation of Indian NDA’s cadres and trainees visited the Institute for Defense International Relations.
During its fact-finding trips in Vietnam from May 26 to June 2, the delegation will pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his Mausoleum, pay courtesy calls on leaders of the General Department of Defense Industry, Naval Region 3 Command and Military Region 7.
