Medical supplies presented to Lao border troops
PANO - The Thanh Border Guard Station, under the Border Guard Command of Quang Tri province, presented medical supplies and necessities to Lao troops who are undertaking missions to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic at border checkpoints along Vietnam-Laos shared border on March 30.

With the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic and the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Laos, the border guard forces of Laos set up 12 border checkpoints along the shared border with Vietnam to prevent the disease.
Witnessing the difficulties experienced by the Lao border guard troops, the Chain-of-Command of the Thanh Border Guard Station presented 300kg of rice, 1,000 medical face masks, 36 packages of instant noodles, 36 boxes of fresh milk, and some bottles of hand sanitizer to them.
On behalf of Lao border guard troops, Lieutenant Xi Xu Phan Pheng Xa Ni thanked the Vietnamese border guard station for its meaningful gifts and promised that Lao troops will closely cooperate with the Vietnamese border guard station to prevent the pandemic in border areas.
