One of the important situations on the first day of the exercise was that some engineering troops unluckily got injured while getting close to explosives left over from the war. An integrated military observers-engineers-medical staff process was immediately activated to respond to this medical emergency case. The military medical team immediately rushed to the scene to classify and provide first aid to the victims. The military observer team on a nearby patrol route quickly approached the doctor, grasped the situation, assisted the engineering detachment in marking dangerous areas and reporting to the U.N. Mine Action Service and chains-of-command at all levels and asking for reinforcement from level-1 field hospital. During the exercise, participating forces practiced coordination and demonstrated their professional skills of giving first aid to and conducting medical evacuation for the victims.

This training content helped raise the trainees’ awareness of post-war explosives, improve their response and handling skills in a military environment engaging three forces, namely military observers, engineers, and military medical staff. The exercise contributed to improving their capabilities and coordination as well as communication and collaboration among forces in an U.N. peacekeeping mission.

On the first day of the exercise, military observers were divided into four groups, practicing four situations on the patrol roads at the National Military Training Center No.4 and Battalion 31 of Brigade 28 under the Air Defense - Air Force Service. After each training situation, lessons were drawn for better practice of coming situations.
