General Ngo Xuan Lich's speech at the dialogue’s fifth plenary session was highly appreciated by participants. During the event the Vietnamese Defense Minister also had a number of bilateral meetings with Defense Ministers of the US, France, the UK, Australia, Malaysia, France and New Zealand.

These meetings demonstrated the Vietnam's positive role and high responsibility for international and regional issues, as well as the country's willingness to promote cooperation and share experience with other countries in addressing common security challenges, so as to build trust, serving as a foundation to promote cooperation between and among parties for peace and development in the region and world.
