Also on June 18, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Military Region 7 Command’s leadership, during which they were also introduced to the region’s armed forces’ activities.
During a visit to the Vietnam Naval Academy in Nha Trang city on June 19, the delegation heard a little of the academy’s training, scientific research missions and international cooperation and had a tour of the sailing ship 286-Le Quy Don and met with some young Vietnamese sailors.
Apart from these aforementioned activities, the delegation visited Nha Rong Wharf, the historical relic of the Central Office for South Vietnam and other local landscapes.
The delegation’s visit to some Southern localities and units was successfully carried out with absolute safety and security.
On behalf of the delegation, the head delegate Colonel Ton That Tuan, US Defense Attaché, sent deep thanks to the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense for the organization of such a visit, contributing to cementing the relationship, trust and mutual understanding between foreign defense attachés and the Vietnamese army and people.
The delegation hoped that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense would continue creating favorable conditions for the delegation to visit and work with military units of Vietnam in the time to come.
