The delegation was briefed on the unit's tradition, functions and developments over the past 50 years. During the national resistance war against American invaders from 1965 to 1975, the battalion took part in hundreds of battles and gained many feats of arms. Notably, the division made great contribution to the "Dien Bien Phu in the air" victory in December 1972. The visiting foreign military people also exchanged military experiences with the unit's troops and observed several training courses at the unit.

On behalf of the defense attaché delegation, Colonel Mpiwa Kgotso Abiel said that the visit was useful and helpful practically contributing to enhancing mutual understanding between the Vietnam People's Army and other militaries. He also hoped that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense would continue creating favorable conditions for foreign defense attachés to visit and exchange with local units in the time to come.
