The Cambodian young officer delegation and delegates observe production activities of Saigon Newport Corporation.

At Saigon Newport Corporation, the Cambodian delegation toured Tan Cang - Cat Lai port, production operation center and security center of the port, during which Cambodian young officers found out about the production and business activities and port exploitation of the corporation.

At the event, Senior Colonel Bui Van Quy, Deputy General Director of the Vietnamese corporation said that the unit’s young cadres and officers were delighted at receiving Cambodian peers. He expressed his hope that the visit and exchange would help promote the good and long-lasting neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and sustainability between the two peoples, militaries, and young generations.

Lieutenant Colonel Heang Chhaymeng, head of the Cambodian delegation, expressed honor to visit and share experience with the corporation and admiration for the development of the company. He said that the exchange would help enhance understanding between young officers of the two sides, thus fostering the fruitful relations between the two militaries.

During the visit to Military Hospital 175, Cambodian young officers learned that over the past time, the hospital has ensured good health for senior officers of the Cambodian Royal Armed Forces and given expertise support, transferred techniques to, and opened training courses for Cambodian medical officers.

The Vietnamese hospital signed a cooperation agreement with Preah Ket Mealea Hospital (Hospital 179) of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and in 2017 it handed over the telemedicine system to the Cambodian hospital to boost joint consultation and exchanges between them.

Attentively, Military Hospital 175 trained 30 Cambodian doctors in the 2018-2022 period and is giving training to 12 others in the 2023-2024 period.

Senior Colonel Truong Dinh Cam, Deputy Director of Military Hospital 175, hoped to further its cooperation with the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces to ensure good health conditions for senior officers of the two militaries.

Expressing honor to acquire knowledge at the Vietnamese hospital, First Lieutenant Soun Savin said that he received support and enthusiastic guidance from Vietnamese doctors during his study in Vietnam. He hoped that Cambodian young officers in Vietnam will continue to study, practice to improve their competency to meet their future duties.

On the occasion, the Cambodian delegation visited Military Hospital 175’s departments and helipad.
