On November 16, at Border Landmark 275 in Tinh Bien town, Tinh Bien district, the delegation led by Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province Nguyen Tiec Hung and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Anh Thu handed over fund and medical supplies to assist the COVID-19 prevention and control of units of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.

The complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic has affected defense external affair activities and border management of the two sides. However, both sides have still maintained information exchange and collaboration to deal with emerging issues in the shared border areas on the basis of solidarity, friendship and respect for each country’s national independence and sovereignty.

Addressing the event, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province Nguyen Tiec Hung hoped that the gifts would help the local people and border guard units effectively deal with the pandemic, prevent illegal entry, and fight border crimes for a border area of peace, friendship, cooperation and mutual development.

Previously, the delegation visited and presented gifts to the border guards and the COVID-19 prevention and control force at the Border Posts of Lac Quoi and Vinh Gia.
