PANO – The visiting young officer delegation of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and the young military officer delegation of the Vietnam People’s Army held talks on November 1 in Hanoi.
The Chinese delegation, led by Colonel Ding Luochao, Head of the Asian Affairs Department under the Office for International Military Cooperation of the Central Military Commission of China, and the Vietnamese delegation, led by Colonel Dinh Quoc Hung, Head of the Army Youth Board of the Vietnam People’s Army, briefed each other upon the performance of the youth activities in the two armies.

They all agreed that the young officer exchange is a practical and useful activity, showing the close friendship and solidarity between the two armies, at the same time provides an opportunity for them to learn from each other’s experience and promote their role in army building.
The two sides agreed to boost exchange and experience-sharing activities between youths of the two armies, stressing that these practical activities serve as a bridge to strengthen the traditional friendship of the two Parties, States and armies.
The program is part of the activities to boost exchange and mutual understanding between young officers, the core forces of the two armies, contributing to building trust, improving defense cooperation and fostering the Vietnam-China friendship.
The young officer exchange program is a highlight in the defense cooperation between Vietnam and China, facilitating the implementation of the revolutionary cause of each country and the maintenance of peace and stability in the region and the world.
As scheduled, the young military officer delegation of China will tour a number of military units of Vietnam to share and learn from experience in the organization of youth and youth union activities in the army, the implementation of natural disaster prevention and relief, and more.
