The G77 and China is one of the most important groups at the U.N., not only because of the largest number of members but also because of the spirit of solidarity in promoting economic and development priorities for developing nations, Giang said.

At the Sustainable Development Summit 2023 and the Summit of the Future 2024, the group promoted the common stance to protect the interests and priorities of developing countries in implementing sustainable development goals (SDGs), as well as mobilize finance sources and implementation methods to achieve these goals, he added.

The diplomat said Vietnam proposes to continue promoting priorities and demands of the G77 and China in major processes of the U.N., strengthening South-South cooperation to support each other in the development process, and enhancing working methods, while maintaining traditional values to improve the Group's operational efficiency in the coming time.
