Deputy PM Dung said that it will be beneficial if Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia study this co-operative model together with the support of international organizations under the United Nations and Devnet.
He thanked Devnet for supporting flood victims in Vietnam’s central provinces.
For his part, Akegawa said that his organization is launching projects to support agriculture and poor people in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
In particular, the organization plans to build agricultural cooperatives after the Japanese model in Vietnam, with the involvement of the UN Development Program (UNDP), the UN Environment Program (UNEP) and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
