American veterans present wheelchairs to Hanoians with disabilities
PANO – The Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation (VVAF), the Latter Day Saint Charities (LDSC) in conjunction with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Committee of the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs have recently presented 20 wheelchairs to people with mobile disability in Hanoi.

PANO – The Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation (VVAF), the Latter Day Saint Charities (LDSC) in conjunction with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Committee of the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs have recently presented 20 wheelchairs to people with mobile disability in Hanoi.
This present was part of the second stage of the VVAF’s programme “Support the people with disabilities and victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Vietnam”.
The beneficiaries were 350 disabled people in seven provinces in the North and the Central Highlands.
It is expected that the multi-functional, high quality wheelchairs might help ease the difficulties of people with disabilities so that they can better integrate into their society.
