The technical support project costs a total of over USD 12 million sourced from non-refundable aid provided by the Republic of Korea (RoK) government and the Vietnamese Government, lasting till June 2022.

At the event

It will help improve the capacity of judges in specific judicial fields and apply modern technology at courts via building a synchronous information technology strategy and an electronic court management system.

The project will be carried out at supreme, high-level, provincial and district-level people’s courts in the country.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court Nguyen Thuy Hien affirmed the project’s important role in promoting judicial reform towards a modern, transparent and effective court system.

She expressed her belief in the success of the project, describing it as a chance to further tighten the Vietnam – RoK relations.

RoK Ambassador to Vietnam Kim Do-huyn said with its experience, the Supreme Court of Korea, which was authorized by KOICA to carry out the project’s components, will actively and effectively help the Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam achieve court reform goals.
