At the meeting, PM Le Minh Hung praised the positive results achieved in bilateral cooperation, particularly since the state visit of General Secretary To Lam (now General Secretary and President) to Belarus in May 2025. He called on the two foreign ministries to strengthen their coordinating roles, serving as bridges to help ministries, localities and businesses access information, find suitable partners, and effectively implement bilateral cooperation documents, programs and projects.

Minister Ryzhenkov affirmed that Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, the Government and the people of Belarus consistently value and seek to further develop friendship and substantive cooperation with Viet Nam.

Briefing the Vietnamese prime minister on his extensive talks with Vietnamese Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung, Ryzhenkov emphasized that the visit provided an opportunity not only to review cooperation between the two foreign ministries but also to agree on directions and priority areas for bilateral cooperation in the coming period.

He noted that decisive guidance from the two governments and efforts by their ministries and agencies had brought positive progress in Viet Nam-Belarus cooperation across all fields. The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he added, continued to coordinate closely with its Vietnamese counterpart on both bilateral and multilateral issues.

Both sides agreed to step up high-level and other-level exchanges through various channels to strengthen political trust and create momentum for cooperation, particularly in economic and trade ties, investment, education and training, culture and the arts, science and technology, and people-to-people exchanges.

They welcomed the opening of direct air routes linking localities in the two countries and efforts to promote each other’s countries, people, history, traditions and famous attractions. These activities are expected to boost two-way tourism, enhance mutual understanding, educate younger generations and lay the foundation for long-term, sustainable bilateral relations.

PM Le Minh Hung also agreed with Ryzhenkov’s proposal to study the establishment of trade and investment promotion centers in each country to strengthen market connectivity and showcase products and investment and business opportunities.

The two sides also agreed to coordinate closely in organizing meaningful and practical activities to mark the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2027 and the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s visit to Belarus, also in 2027.

On the occasion, PM Le Minh Hung asked the Belarusian Government and relevant agencies to continue facilitating stable living, study and working conditions for the Vietnamese community in Belarus, enabling its members to contribute to the country’s socioeconomic development and serve as a bridge for promoting friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
