At the meeting on July 7, Phong spoke highly of the guest’s task performance in the past and highlighted the increased cooperation between the city and Hungary’s capital of Budapest in trade, health, culture, education and more.

For his part, the outgoing Hungarian Consul General thanked the city’s leadership for their assistance during his term in Vietnam.

The guest said that Hungarian small- and medium-sized enterprises have shown their interest in investing in Vietnam, including Ho Chi Minh City. He added that once the EVFTA is signed, it would create favorable conditions for both countries’ enterprises to enhance their future cooperation.

On the occasion, Chairman Phong presented the city’s insignia to the Hungarian diplomat in recognition of his great contributions to promoting the relations between the city and Hungary and to the city’s development.
