Viettel, VAST cooperate in developing high-tech applications
PANO - On March 28, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) and the military-run Telecoms Group Viettel signed a framework agreement for their cooperation in the period of 2017-2021.
According to the deal, both sides will cooperate in studying and developing high-tech applications, especially satellites, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), materials industry, and automation as well as personnel training for technological development.
At the event, both sides' leaders also presented several projects which may serve the national defense cause and society such as a smart traffic management system, satellite technology, energy technology, and special materials industry. The outcomes achieved by both sides over the past time show high potential of scientific research and its application to the work of the two units.
The cooperation between Viettel and VAST aims at enhancing scientific and technological application to boosting socio-economic development and maintaining the national defense and security.
