The group has just received two more exclusive patents in the U.S., namely “Weighted load balancing method on data access points” and “Hybrid coupler with total gate and co-directional signal gate.”

By the end of August 2021, Viettel had had a total of 339 domestic patent applications, including 49 in the U.S., of which 44 have been granted in Vietnam and seven in the U.S.

Each year, the number of patents granted to Viettel increases by 142%, nearly 8 times higher than the average increase of 18% of domestic applicants. The group is currently a pioneer and key unit in implementing the Prime Minister’s intellectual property strategy to 2030, with the goal of increasing the number of patent applications and patent protection titles by an average of 16 – 18% per year.

Specifically, the “Weighted load balancing method on data access points” invention helps to operate the telecommunications network efficiently and ensure data security for customers, while the “Hybrid coupler with total gate and co-directional signal gate” is applied to the production of 3D Radar.

Both inventions are designed by young engineers of Viettel.
