In this brand valuation consultancy’s list of the world’s 500 most valuable brands (Global500) in 2022, Viettel is placed 227th, moving up 99 places, in comparison to the list in 2021.
Apple is the world’s most valuable brand, valued at USD 355.1 billion and followed by Amazon and Google.

In the world, 22 out of 36 major telecoms brands enjoyed an increase in rank. Top three most valuable telecoms brands in the world are Verizon, Deutsche Telekom and AT&T. Viettel ranks 18th in the world’s telecoms brands and is the best growing brand.
Viettel continues to hold the top position in telecoms brand in Southeast Asia and in the top 3 most valuable brands in the region.
This is the first year that Brand Finance has expanded the concept of the Brand Guardianship Index. The rankings recognize those building business value in a sustainable way, and by balancing the needs of all stakeholders including employees, investors and society.
According to a report at Viettel’s year-end conference in 2021, Viettel achieved all of its set goals last year. It was the enterprise with the best business results in the industry and ensuring income for employees.
Viettel earned VND 274 trillion in revenue, up 3.3%. Its profit reached VND 40.1 trillion, an increase of 2%. Notable, it contributed nearly VND 32 trillion to the State budget.
Also in 2021, Viettel’s brand moved up 32 places to the 325th in Global500.
In the same year, the group ranked the first in the Top 50 Vietnam’s most valuable brands for the sixth time in a row. It continued to be honored as the business offering the best workplace in Vietnam in the fields of hardware technology, infrastructure and telecoms.
This year is an important foundation year for Viettel to realize its goals set in the development strategy for the 2021-2025 period. The group continues to set high growth targets, focus on building digital infrastructure and digital platforms, and complete high-tech products research and manufacturing plans for commercial use.
