General Cuong made the statement while addressing a meeting of the group’s Party Committee to issue leadership resolution on task performance in 2024 on January 9.
The event was chaired by Major General Nguyen Thanh Nam, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy General Director of the group.
Regarding the outcomes of the leadership over task implementation in 2023, delegates agreed that Viettel’s Party Committee well realized the strategy and project on restructuring the group and charter capital in the 2021-2025 period. In addition, they actively and pro-actively engaged in law-making, development of national strategy on information, technology, digital infrastructure, and more.
The Party Committee directed its affiliates to achieve set production and business targets, pro-actively study and grasp market situation, devise appropriate and comprehensive solutions, cut ineffective services, focus resources on key profitable activities and keep up with technological trends, launch new digital products, and pioneer in creating a digital society in Vietnam.

Moreover, their policies and solutions helped build a comprehensively-strong, exemplary, typical group; improve quality of education, information dissemination, and other activities. Also, the group’s Party Organization was built into a politically-, ideologically-, morally-, organizationally-strong organization.
Stressing that Viettel is a leading economic group of Vietnam with effective business index, General Cuong said that the group has been entrusted with a number of important missions by the Party, Government, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense.
Talking about the group’s future orientations and duties, Gen. Cuong asked Viettel’s Party Committee to actively implement the aforementioned projects, direct its affiliates to meet production and business tasks, continue to adjust according to reality and development strategy, and build policy on human resources.
Viettel Group was also requested to continue to build a politically-strong unit to meet task requirements in the new situation, raise their cadres and personnel’s awareness of the group’s tradition, prestige, and duties so that they always stay ready to undertake and complete all assignments, and grasp thoughts of personnel working overseas or in remote and mountainous areas.

Attention should be paid to building solidarity, unity in the whole group and a contingent of strong cadres, developing policies to attract, train and foster high-quality human resources, and strictly observing organizational and operational principles of the party, Gen. Cuong urged the group.
