Viettel operates 4G service at Hung Kings Temple Festival 2017
PANO - The military-run telecommunication group (Viettel) started operating its network system to serve visitors at the Hung Kings Temple Festival 2017, on April 5.
According to Director of Viettel Phu Tho, Phan Quoc Son, Viettel completed the installation of 4G BTS, along with its existing 2G, and 3G BTS, to serve this year’s festival. Viettel also added many point-of-sale (POS) systems to provide free 4G SIM cards for people in the area of the Hung Kings Temple Festival and its neighborhood such as Van Lang Park.

Viettel installed 65 free wifi hotspots and 19 mobile transceiver vehicles to provide 2G, 3G, 4G services, and also put into operation 6 new high power BTS in and around the festival area.
In addition to the communications system that serves visitors, Viettel also supported Phu Tho province to install 8 surveillance cameras along the Hung Vuong Avenue and the Hung Kings Temple to allow the province’s authorities and agencies to monitor important areas and immediately handle problems during the festival.
