The show is expected to partly provide TV viewers with defense knowledge from the perspective of technology and entertainment and at the same time introduce shooting as a healthy sport.
In this year’s program, the competitors will learn basic shooting skills, practice shooting, and then join friendly shooting tests.
They will also be challenged in a physical competition which includes wearing a gas mask, carrying a barrel of ammunition, climbing up walls, finding parts of guns, and more. Such a test will help them warm up before joining live-fire tests with targets including paper boxes, balloons, pans, and lumps of iron, to name but a few.
Each show will see the competition of two teams. Each team includes an instructor and a competitor, who will perform three shooting lessons and undergo different challenges.
Speaking highly of the show’s practical significance in universalizing defense knowledge in terms of entertainment, Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Mai, Head of the Shooting Division of Army Officers’ Training School No.1, said that through the program, TV viewers will learn more about advantages and difficulties facing troops during a military training course, especially in shooting.
The program also conveys messages that people are a decisive factor in the use of weapons and that preserving weapons and other equipment, even if they are old, is a sound guideline for the military, the officer added.
